Donations Delivered

A 50lb bag of goodies was distributed among the kids and I can’t wait to share with you all the looks on their faces.

Some kind souls took the time to give and gather clothes and toys for children they had never met before. This was all packed into a suitcase I took with me that sat right at the weight limit for a checked bag. Hey God! After a few days of getting to know people in Kenya I shared the news with the staff at Total Rehab; they were thrilled. We set aside some of the infant clothing to give to a new mother that was known in the community and in need of assistance. The rest went to the children at the center I’ve spent my time volunteering at. Passing it all out was a great experience. The kids were hooping and hollering and putting on the shirts over the ones they were already wearing. Some even started changing right then! It was hilarious. The staff members helped me change every single one of them into new outfits. It was a golden opportunity to love on each kid individually. We got them out of their beds, laid them on the ground to play with the toys, changed their clothes, sang, danced, and I got to pray for a few of the babies who don’t do much playing.
